As I Standby

I just get done chatting with my sis in Colorado, she was in a hurry because they are going to New Mexico for a business trip, sametime for vacation, my niece is kinda excited about it, she loves being in the plane and going to different places..haha.. this is their second time for New Mexico and my sister told me it still excites her to go over there again, she told me that there are many places to visit, and she is longing for something different, Colorado is a wonderful state too where she is at right now but am sure she hates the extreme cold weather this kinda season.. haha!!!   she sent me some  photos of New Mexico, at first I thought desert is kinda depressing, all barren and hot, BUT then i saw the photos, it looked beautiful, giant red rock formations, it looked really cool, and they said the temperature is  nicer than where she lives, it has high snow-covered mountains, dry plateaus, pine forests, aspen forests, and canyons. ,there are some interesting places to visit but her favorite is the Great Sand Dunes National Monument..Hmm.. would love to go there someday!! In my dream. My sister deserves the best, she is such a wonderful person, always there when you need here, that is why she has lots of blessings in her life, wonderful husband, great and beautiful kid, and just have a life of traveling wherever she wants to go!! Go sister!! You deserve everything.. Miss you all the time.

I just done talking to my sister online, they are busy celebrating for their thanks giving holiday, they are preparing lots of different kinds of  foods, the turkey is the most important menu in their meals, It is a new thing for me because we don’t have thanks giving in Philippines, I had never tried eating turkey meat in my life, it would be cool to try and know what it taste like, am wondering if it taste like chicken. haha., Anyways, even if we are not in America we can still have thanks giving everyday.. Just be thankful of what we all got because it is suppose to be about celebrating the coming together of one nations culture, being thankful for what we have, our family, our friends and everything.. I’m 18 and I love playing basketball. I like playing with my brothers everyday after school. It was fun today because we played longer than usual and now am kinda sore and tired, well am sure having enough sleep for tonight will make me feel better, this is one of my favorite sports, when I started playing I enjoyed it just cant stop playing , where I see the beauty of it. I don’t think I can ever give up hoops, at least until I can’t run no more. If I keep myself fairly in shape, I should be able to play the sport for a good segment of my life.
I find this sport so interesting because the skills and experience won’t go away, even though they may get a bit rusty if I take a break from the game for awhile when am busy with school. I love it, it is the sport that I can enjoy with my brothers, friends and close ones. I may experience a sprain ankle or leg cramps sometimes but it’s not something that can’t be prevented or will hinder enjoyment of playing!!!

also, I like teamwork, I don’t like independent sports. Every move you make, you need someone to help you.

I like trying to strive to improve my game, always getting better. In every game, I want to improve, learning something new from the time of the begining whistle for jump ball, until the buzzer goes off at the end. And I love the feeling after you stuff a ball in someones face, or score a basket, get an assist, or wateva, it’s just all so much fun!

I talked with my sister, she was very excited about their coming halloween party with her friends, she is gonna be playing as a pirate, They have one every year and she said it is fun and way different on how we celebrated it here in Philippines.Their haloween party is our All Souls Day where we went to our relatives graveyards who passed away already and offers prayers. In other countries it is different and sounds interesting, My sister said during this occasion she likes to put a haloween decor around her house for a great impact. She uses lots of the spider webbing where she can get at party stores and decorate with ghost lights, hanging bats and spiders. She also use orange light bulbs instead of the normal ones to correct a darker lighting effect.This year they are having a costume contest to add up the fun. Sounds Awesome..

love going to the malls with my friends for window shopping and sometimes we ended up in cinemas watching horror and action movies especially!! haha. We both love the scary part of it, just love the endless imagination movies can bring to our brain. Big screen where we can see better and surround sound makes it seem more realistic like we were there at the time of the events. It is better than watching at home..haha..I also like the atmosphere~smell of popcorn and the dark is good because it’s easier to concentrate on the movie and everybody is concentrate watching all of it

I consider myself as a very quiet person, but I like being around people ans just love hearing different kinds of ideas and perspective, I love to listen instead of talking, I don’t usually start the conversation but I share my thoughts when I can, sometimes I feel conscious if people think that I am a strict person because I am very quiet and just live the way I am. sometimes I just like being myself peaceful and not much to worry. I am from a big family and always voices all the time, so whenever I got a chance in peace I love it, I got lots of friends too but am not always around with them just sometimes. I always miss my old nursing classmates, I been looking our photos when we were role playing, I remember we were very busy in a group practicing for assessments, and how to reinforce breastfeeding techniques with partners while my male partner is pretending to be a female new mama, haha.. I think it was funny.. Oh good old days.. It was priceless to reminisce all those memories, we were pretending hanging IV maintenance fluids, and administering medications, and etc. It was funny because we were making silly faces while playing the role before going to the real world in clinics and hospitals. I remember we always bring those big pillows to school for our dramatization. It was hard to carry because riding a jeepney is the only transportation we could take, so bringing this big pillows, towels and etc is kinda embarassing because it takes a lot of space in jeepneys. (hahaha!!!). Gosh it was a tough but wonderful times..

Being a nursing student is very exhausting, and very stressful for me, and eventhough it is a time consuming, so far I haven’t had any trouble with it, and it keeps myself on my toes because I don’t have time to fail and its no room for error especially when I am in the hospital/clinical settings where I go for my duty.I have maintained my grades and still able to spend considerable amount of time with friends. Am sure the higher course or years I go the more difficult it is, but if I keep trying to be dedicated and hardworking, and believe everything will be okay. I Just keep in mind, it may be difficult, but it will definitely pay off in the end.

I just had a wonderful and productive day went in our backyard and do some gardening, plant some vegetables. like spinach, squash and beans, together with my mother, my mama is more on flowering plants but not me.. I am glad helping her around. Anyways, I easily got bored just sitting around the house and do nothing I like being busy and stay active, being a young man I always worry about my future and has lots of dreams, being a nursing student is very challenging, it is tough but I tried hard because I would love to obtain the highest level of education I can and to make a positive impact for myself, my family and for community. Right now I would say I am not living my dream and not there yet but my hopes keep me going…striving hard step by step may I will achieve the best of my dream..God bless us all!!!!

We went to the beach for my birthday today, We had a blast. Being with my big family is really wonderful. I am raise in an extremely close knit family and very proud of being pat of it, our parents really do a good job, My mother always made sure we are well behave and do good grades in school while our father do the work to provide our needs. eventhough I came from a poor family but am glad that I turned out to be a good son and a great brother,. I always got appreciated from my sisters. hehe.. I love my family soo much!!! My closest friends are my brothers maybe because we always see each other all the time, I have 7 brothers, hmm.. surprising huh!! I am proud to say that my favorite role model are my parents, they are the one who brought me to this world, raised me and took care of me.. I am very thankful for what they have done. Thank ya all!!!
